🤷‍♀️What is ShareFest?

ShareFest is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that runs a MASSIVE reuse event during student move-out at Miami University. Instead of sending gently used items to the landfill, ShareFest collects and redistributes them to local nonprofits, schools, and community groups that serve people here in our community.

It’s a labor-intensive effort that takes many hands! The biggest challenge? Clearing out 38 residence halls 😅

ShareFest also collects from off-campus students who bring items to Chestnut Fields.

Community members are also welcome and encouraged to donate food, furniture, clothing, or take advantage of the electronic recycling!

It's our very own Nicola with Simon and Katie — two incredible social work interns who have been holding it down at TOPSS all school year.

They answered tough phone calls, arranged critical services, and celebrated with our clients through big and small victories. We hope they got as much out of this experience as we did — because we truly loved having them here!

We’re so grateful to everyone who donated and to the carriers who picked it all up, and our amazing volunteers who helped sort it and put it all away 💛📦📬
